IT Technical Courses:
- LEARNING
METHOD
Many users want their experience to be self-paced, but
mentored when needed. This platform is effective in both
environments, whether a training group, learning onsite or
offsite.
The online
"classroom" is organized for the convenience and needs of the
learner. Users can login and train from virtually anywhere,
anytime. Courseware is designed to help them become competent in
the least amount of time with the least amount of training
The dynamic
Internet-based e-Learning experience combines the benefits of
traditional classroom learning and the dynamics of
computer-based training in a comprehensive program that fits the
learner’s individual style and adapts to their schedule.
- LEARNING GUIDE
When the learner logs on to the LearnKey website there is a link
for them to download and print the ‘OnlineExpert – Student
Getting Started Guide’. This is a clearly written document to
help the learner deal with any technical requirements, the setup
of their PC, how to register, starting their training and a
troubleshooting guide if they experience any problems.
COURSE CONTENT
PRE ASSESSMENT
These are structured as multiple choice exercises (true or
false). All questions relate to what will be covered in the
course. At the end of the pre assessment there is an opportunity
to review the score and print a study guide on the areas that
were answered incorrectly.
TRAINING
There is a video session for each unit of the course. Within the
video there is a section that logs each lesson the learner
completes so it is easy to pick up from where the learner has
left off. There is a glossary section that acts as a very good
reference when revising for the final assessment.
LABS
There are study labs throughout the course. In this section the
learner is given exercises to complete based on the working
environments that they are currently studying.
POST
ASSESSMENT
The final assessment is both multiple choice, true or false
questions and labs for the learner to demonstrate certain
processes that they have covered in their course.
Once the
completed assessment is submitted the learner is told their pass
mark. 80% or higher is required to pass the course and on
achievement of this they can print a certificate of completion.
80% or less is unsuccessful. However, there is a facility for
the learner to print a prescriptive study report that shows
their errors along with reference to the training sections they
will need to revisit before taking the assessment again.
EXAMINATIONS
Accreditation: Microsoft, Certiport, Cisco and CompTIA.
Examinations are
separate to the training course, we do not run them in either
training centre. Learners can book at exam with a Prometric
Testing Centre (source through web for nearest) or book with
Pearson Vue www.vue.com. Exams cost £114.00
NOTE
The cost of the course does not include examination costs.
These will be additional costs to incur for the learner.
