Recently
made redundant, Rachel decided this was the perfect opportunity
to re-train and change her career path. "I had previously
studied a touch typing course with Pitman Training just after I
graduated from University, so I knew exactly where to go when I
wanted to further enhance my administrative skills". Having
worked as a Research Scientist for a University for many years,
Rachel was already familiar with the accounts side of managing
the bursaries and grants they received. However, Rachel now felt
ready to venture further into this area with the aim of running
the accounts in her husband's new business. Rachel decided on
the Pitman Training Foundation in Finance Diploma. This would
take her through everything she was going to need to know about
Book-keeping and Accounts. Through studying this Diploma, Rachel
would also learn how to convert her manual book-keeping skills
to computerised accounts using Sage Line 50, the most popular
Accounting software used today.
